On September 11th, the Unit stationed at FOB Mehtar Cam ran in honor of the 911 victims.
These brave heroes ran from 9AM to 9PM
in the Afghanistan heat. Some ran in relays, and some ran the entire time! Go Nevada!

Thank you so much for your very thoughtful care package. I enjoyed it very much and shared it with many of my friends. We have made several school supplies drops this year and have a few more planned.
Many of the supplies were donated from the good folks like you back in the states. I appreciate your offer for
Christmas packages but I do not need anything specific. If you are interested in sending something though, I would recommend that you send some books for the locals to read. Only about half of them read but they all seem very enthusiastic about books and magazines. You would
have to consider sensitivities to their culture and religion when
choosing what to send of course.
